What is it and what is it for?
This is a series of meetings of a support group offered to Nicolae Testemitanu SUMPh students, who are experiencing the consequences of the pandemic (separation from relatives, isolation, stress, learning difficulties, etc.) The group plays the role of psychological counseling, emotional release and professional support with the help of a licensed psychologist.
Dear SUMPh Students,
We invite you to join our online support group. This group offers a safe support space, a friendly atmosphere where you can share your emotions, experiences, fears and get the support of colleagues and our psychologist;
You will learn how to:
- understand your feelings without being suppressed by them;
- treat states of sadness, guilt, anger, remorse, fear etc;
- identify your resources to overcome negative situations;
- master the soothing techniques that you can use, if necessary;
Participation in a group activity is free, in compliance with the conditions of confidentiality.
Organizational aspects:
1-5 meetings, one meeting per week on Google Meet in a closed format (the number of meetings is decided with the participants at the first meeting, the group is closed after the second meeting);
The duration of the meeting is 90 minutes;
The first meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 4:30 pm.
The support group will be held by Irina Dvornina, the psychologist of the Center for Psychological Counseling and Career Guidance of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
